Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
A chopper flying above a crowded coastal coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, eventually dropping height and smashing into a line of palm groves as spectators watched.
Videos posted on the internet depict the helicopter starting to spin near the shoreline then plunging towards the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palms and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the road were injured. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
