Explore 29 Latest Cards from Magic: The Gathering's TMNT Set (Including a Commander-Style Deck!)
Everyone's beloved pizza-eating heroes are arriving to Magic: The Gathering. The well-known TCG's publisher, the game's creators, revealed a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion at a exclusive event hosted at New York Comic Con. Could this be a radical new set or yet another crossover marketing move? Let you decide.
Take a look here at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, along with some useful background. All items listed here releases on March 6th, 2026, except for one item — the Pizza Bundle drops a few weeks later on March 27th.
Magic x TMNT: Main Set Reveals
Before we get into the many unique products and collections available, we’ll examine at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion unveiled by Wizards. Play boosters for the set are priced at $6.99 each, while Collector Boosters are priced at $37.99 per pack.
Let’s explore a couple of shell-shocking features. To begin, there's a new mechanic named Sneak Attack, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu ability, where gamers can play big creatures into the game field when an attacker goes unblocked. The key change here is that this new ability can affect non-creature spells as well. Wizards also took the opportunity to refine the mechanic a little (Sneak is treated as playing a spell, unlike Ninjutsu). Ninjutsu is staying, but it's more likely players will encounter the new mechanic in upcoming expansions from now on.
“If we ever go back to Kamigawa, we might use Ninjutsu since that's where it was developed and it’s a hallmark to that,” an experienced game designer stated. “However on other planes, because the mechanics are smoother and the new ability is what's going to be in standard, it’s probable that we'd use Sneak.”
Another version of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai card, is one of four special cards with unique artwork designed specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman.
Oh, and, should you be surprised by the card text on Turtles Forever, which allows playing cards outside of your deck, many players were. But as per Wizards, that's now a legal card in every format of Magic.
Anyway, here are the highly unusual land cards with full art from the TMNT set:
Following the company’s existing guidelines, these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard format. The designers say they were careful to make sure the new cards and gameplay elements meshed well with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities.
“I led the development for 15 months and we were aware it would be Standard-legal and which sets would be near it in standard,” a lead designer says. “Our goal was to ensure that they work well with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.”
As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red strategy built around artifact cards.
“They mesh together to offer the components for a fun Standard deck,” the designer says.
Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!
Following a decision to create any Commander precons for the Spider-Man set and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, the company is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s only a single precon, but it includes six distinct legendary creatures who could work as your commander based on how you pair them (five of the cards have a special Partner mechanic named “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command zone rather than just one). Take a look for yourself:
This Commander precon is priced at $69.99, although that could easily go up based on popularity. Wizards indicated that it includes 43 new cards in total, which means an additional thirty-seven TMNT-themed cards besides the six legendary creatures pictured earlier. (Calculating roughly, that also means about 20 reprints if we estimate the precon includes 37 land cards.)
How will the Turtles version of the iconic Sol Ring look like? Fans must wait and see.
TMNT Bundle (Standard Edition)
As per usual, the company is selling a collection. It is priced at $69.99 and contains the following:

Pizza Bundle
Here’s a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, primarily because it comes in a box resembling a pizza delivery box. Each Pizza Bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the following:
- 9 Standard Boosters
- One Collector Booster
- 25 Regular pizza lands
- Five Traditional foil pizza basic lands
- Two Foil pizza bundle promo cards
- 2 helper cards
- 1 Large spindown life counter
- 1 Card-storage box
If you’re wondering about the “pizza bundle promo” is, it’s basically a reprint of an older card featuring all-new Turtle-themed artwork. Wizards revealed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of master Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces onto a pizza. In total, there are six different Pizza Bundle promo cards in total.
This special bundle releases a couple of weeks later than the core set on March 27, 2026.

Turtle Team-Up
Finally, the developers are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its ongoing effort to create Magic game products aimed at new players. Here, Turtle Team-Up is a unique product of prebuilt decks that let you and a friend team up against a “Boss” deck that plays automatically.
The general idea here that every Boss card gives unique powers to the creatures included in the boss deck. Each Boss automatically casts one other card per turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
